Well here is my first review of a game hope it helps and you find it useful. Anyway
Section 8
If you take Battlefied 2142, Quake Wars, Unreal Tournament, Halo, and countless other sci-fi shooters, and then put them in a big cooking pot, get a big spoon and stir real fast….. wait a minute let me rephrase that if you take Battlefied 2142, Quake Wars, Unreal Tournament, Halo, and countless other sci-fi shooters, and make them the cooks with the spoon and then get them to stir real fast you will notice that that old saying, “ too many cooks spoil the broth” really is true in the case of Section 8.
Unfortunately it fails on many levels, the lack of anything ingenious really makes for a very lack lustre Sci-Fi FPS and although it tries hard to capture you with a blend of fast paced action, the gameplay after a while becomes tedious and repatative. The campaign mode of the game can become confusing at times, with little or no attention to any real grasp at a story line. The characters are not anything to write home about, and the whole atmosphere reminded me of Haze (dreadful PS3 FPS Sci-Fi shooter) it falls flat on its face while trying to encompass the same eratic mayhem of multiplayer and trying to add a little narrative along for a side dish really doesn’t work too well in this case.
Besides the drop from the troop ship which is fast and furious and already been done much better in BF2142, oh and the very fast running which becomes uncontrollable after about 10 seconds, there really isn’t much more to get excited about in this game. The lock on ability when aiming down the barrel of your weapon disengages far too quickly and more often that not you will find yourself shooting at thin air instead of your enemies heads no matter how great you are at Call of Duty, you will find yourself spitting in rage as your intended target moves out of the way just in time.
Although game play is quite smooth and the controls are adjustable somewhat via the settings. It really doesn’t detract from the fact that this games fast pace may well make your eyes bleed in the same way that Unreal Tournament did. However Unreal Tournament knows it’s a multiplayer game and doesn’t really pretend to be anything else. Section 8 on the other hand tries hard in a Halo sort of way to tell a narrative and have that all impressive multiplayer package to go along with it. And in this vein I am afraid it fails quite badly.
Graphically the game is adequate, but again the level design is very repetitive in the same way the game play is. It would seem that the developers have taken a lazy approach to level design with just the odd massive building complex thrown into a huge desert area (very easy to do if I remember correctly going back to my Call of duty Mapping days) and although the game tries to draw you in with its fast pace, you will always be left thing a nice tree or bush may well have made for some good camouflaged cover.
All in all a rather repetitive game with little or no innovation, this is rather sad to say the least, as this game could well have filled the gap with a little bit more thought between Halo 3 and Halo ODST. Its lack of good level design and confusing deployment of tanks and turrets makes this one worth missing to be honest. I really do wish I could have been a bit more positive about this game but if you want something fast paced that needs little thinking, but has a confusing array of loadout options, tanks being called where you don’t want them vehicle control that is like watching a drunk walk home from the pub on a Saturday night, then maybe this game is you bag, but its certainly isn’t mine. Overall 4 out of 10

Anybody know of any more mature rpgs, like lost odyssey for ex, there are some really heavy scenes in that. It had some harsh reality moments, that made me really feel sorry/happy for the characters in a way I've not experienced in other games.
Not bad considering the demo was 700MB, then installing it. The same demo is about 450MB on the 360, and that usually takes me about 10 minutes if my connection is going full-whack.
I hadn't smoked a fag for over 14 months but on Saturday night I smoked 14 I'm gutted but I won't do it again. I just relised that the pain I'm going through at worth making any harder if I started smoking again. I worked to hard to stop so I'm not starting again I will hate myself if I do.
